Full length versions of the Spartakus Theme.

I know there's a full length version of the French soundtrack floating around out there, but I found this earlier on, so it seems that it's also out there in English and Spanish too. Here's hoping a full length version of the Flashbick surfaces too, one day.

Another AMV
I've posted another Spartakus AMV up on YouTube:

I felt "Go the Distance" from Disney's "Hercules" fit the Spartakus cartoon. What do you think?

New Fan
Hi

I wouldn't say I'm new to Spartakus, but basically, I'm looking at the show in a new light than I used to. I had seen two or three episodes on Nickelodeon back in the 1980's, and I liked it, but I wasn't a frequent viewer (actually, I think the only shows on Nickelodeon I never missed were Inspector Gadget, Double Dare, and Looney Tunes). But I had remembered the show. But I only got interested in it recently. I've been watching the original French on YouTube (Les Mondes Engloutis, forgive me if I misspelled that, French is not my native language), but I would love to see the English again (three English episodes have made it to YouTube). And according to what I've seen on YouTube, I might have been the first person to create a Spartakus AMV (don't quote me on that). Here it is if you want to see it:

Maybe someday, they'll release the English version on DVD. I can dream, can't I?

I just found out about this group today, so I thought I'd join and say hi. I loved this cartoon when I was a kid, I probably saw just about every episode. It really is a sham it hasn't ended up on DVD somewhere yet, I keep hoping it will someday, or I can find some other media to get it on.

hey!
it's been 6 years since my fandom for spartakus was first rekindled by the internet (i was 13). but i just stumbled across this lj community in a google search, and i guess my days of internet fandom of les mondes engloutis have returned! but now i have three questions:

-does anyone have any good screen shots of tehrig, ones that could possibly translate into a tattoo?

-does anyone have any mp3s of the original french theme song? they were all on my old computer...

-and i suppose we're all still waiting on english realeases of the DVDs, as the french ones don't play in north america?

god this show was so fucking awesome...

Les Mondes Engloutois
Hello!
Love Les Mondes Engloutois, and managed to find two of the songs.:-D
Here are the theme song lyrics(in French)
LES MONDES ENGLOUTIS
(intro)

Suit Spartacus, Bob, Rebecca
Au bout, enfant de lumiere suivez-moi
Vous qui connaissez notre passe
Vers Arkadia, vers les Mondes Engloutis
Pour nous sauver la vie ...
Refr:

Suis Spartacus, Bob, Arkanna
O toi, enfant du ciel marche sans effroi
Dis-nous que demain il revivra
Sors le Shagma le soleil de l'oubli Des mondes
engloutis
Refr:
Suis les Mondes Engloutis ........

Also have the lyrics to Bic & Bac and the Pirate song.
If anyone get hold of a dvd, tell me! I really want it. Even if it means I have to watch it in French and no subtitles. :-D

updates and a cute pic
Les Mille et une heures d'Arkadia has been updated. Among other things, there are the pictures and text of the beginning of the first episode, and a forum. English is not really forbidden in the forum, it's just easier for Shagmir to reply in French. (What is forbidden is discussion of illegal downloads and file transfers...and one of the moderators is Arkshag. ;-) ) And here you can simply vote for your favorite character (and explain why).
"An english version of the site should be online in december 2005…" (I, personally, think of this as Shagmir's holiday present to us.)

Also, romulus214 has posted a cool link here.

Second maintainer
I'm currently the only maintainer on this community, and I think it would be a good idea for me to set someone else up as one in the event that i become unavailable for any reason. Anyone wanna do it?

a request for help
Does anyone have any English episodes of Spartakus? Or anything at all--videos, sounds, texts--in Polish (or German)? Thanks so much in advance...

BTW, I think that if you have eMule, you can download the French episodes from http://bleyna.free.fr/pages/episodes/mondesengloutis.php .

The City of Arkadia (first draft)
Many thanks to vartan and romulus214 for their help with the translation, and especially to davlev and his brother. They've made many additions that I'll add here soon.

Please tell me if I should write down the episode's script (like the scripts of Ulysses 31 episodes are written down here) and/or link to pictures at appropriate points of the story. Right now, it's only the dialogue.

Does anyone post inside in this place?

I grew up watching Les Mondes Engloutis (well, the English dub from Multidub in Montreal) for several years and found it to be a supreme show.

Wish it was available on dvd, although, come to think of it, I am soon to be purchasing the original French version on dvd a.s.a.p.

Big up Nina Wolmark.
